WRITE YOUR SITCOM PILOT!!! I CAN HELP!!! (SALE)

One of the things you need to break into television is an original TV pilot script.  I think writing one is a great idea, and I can help you. I’m offering a class that is inexpensive, and starting soon, AND it meets on Zoom so you can take it from anywhere!

In fact, before I even start, here’s a link to some of my former students talking about my class, and what they got out of it, and why they think you should take it.

WHO ARE YOU? WHY SHOULD I LISTEN TO YOU?

I’m  Sean Conroy, and I’ve been a TV writer for twenty years, on shows like Key & Peele (got me a WGA award nomination!) and Mr. Pickles on Adult Swim (got me some nightmares!). In fact, I was the Head Writer on Mr. Pickles for all three seasons, and then Head Writer on the spinoff (Momma Named Me Sheriff) for one season. And I’ve worked on lots of other stuff too (anybody remember Gentlemen Lobsters on the late lamented Seeso network? I hope you do, because I was also Head Writer on that, and I looooooved that show).

I’ve also taught scriptwriting for over ten years. Some of my former students have gone on and written for stuff like Rick and Morty, Ted Lasso. American Housewife. Jeff and Some Aliens…

I have a specific process I use to approach a script, whether it’s an original pilot or an episode of an existing show. And I am happy to share that with you, in this 6-session class (plus one additional session I’ll get to in a moment).

You will learn to write an original sitcom pilot: developing a logline, exploring a world, creating characters, breaking a story, outlining, writing a script, and polishing.

So what about that additional session? After the group class is finished, you’ll send me your final script. Then you and I will meet one on one to discuss. Fun!

WHEN DOES THIS CLASS MEET?
There are two sessions of the class. Each meets on Zoom, so you can take it from anywhere. Each class will be about two hours, including a Q&A at the end of every class (people always have lots of Q’s, and sometimes I have A’s).

The first class meets on Saturdays 12-3 PM PST, November 16, 23, December 7, 14 , 21, 28 (no class Thanksgiving weekend).

The second is Thursdays 6-9 PM PST, November 21, December 5, 12, 19, January 2, 9 (no class ON Thanksgiving- can you believe it?).

In both cases, the time of that final one-on-one session is TBD, just so you have enough time to work on your script (but you still have to finish it).

HOW MUCH FOR THIS AMAZING CLASS?

The class usually costs $399. And you should know that I offer just a notes session on scripts for $350, so a notes session plus 6 classes seems like a good deal.

But for YOU, if you sign up now for this session of classes, you’ll get the classes and the notes session for 20% off, for a grand total of $319.

What a bargain.

Go here to sign up for Thursdays.

Go here to sign up for Saturdays.

I also have a Substack (of course I do) where I write about comedy, writing, Hollywood, and writing comedy in Hollywood. You should subscribe to it, which you can do here.

And I hope to see you soon.
